Hi all i did post something like this originally but for some reason it never appeared.
I have been thinking about a saltwater tank for ages. i have a fresh water tank and i would say i would understand a lot about that but i realise this is very different.
I live in the UK and want really a plug and play kit but not amazingly aweful and cheap one that i can slowly modify. i thought the biocube from oceanic maybe the 14 or 29 gal but i cant find a seller. Does anyone know one in the North west or one that could deliver there?
also what would i need. i want some hermits, snails, shrimp, anenomes and a few PEACEFUL fish. (my tropical tank has tiger barbs which are nuts and cause me headaches )
    thanks a lot matt

i don't really like the all in one kits, as they aren't upgradable for the most part. as you get more in the hobby they probably would just be more of a burden.
all you need to do is get 3 things.
    tank
    skimmer(recommend octopus HOB unit)
lights(recommend t5's with wattage that equals around the literage of the tank)

    thats all you need

+1. The all in one kits are VERY overpriced for what you get. You would be much better off just building a tank from the ground up with good equipment.

+2 Bigtime. You can do so much more just setting up your own 29g tank putting it together yourself. We'll even help pick out the hardware for ya if you need us to. It's really not that difficult. Tank, stand, skimmer, lighting, powerheads, heater. Pretty much it with a simple 29g.
