    but if you read previous i just changed tanks and if i change the water it will just take longer to get through the cycle, correct?

    depends but not necessarily...through water changes you'll be able to export some of those nitrates (assuming your ammonia and nitrites are tested at zero).

    If you're reading nitrites, your cycle is in full swing. IMO, I would not do a water change as you will just delay the cycling process. What, if any, animals are in the tank at the moment?

    what is listed except the shrimp. and i read nitrates. nitrates are through the roof. nitrites are acceptable.

    Sorry. Signatures don't appear in every post so I didn't see your list until this morning :)

    If nitrates are through the roof then you're almost there. Just leave the tank be and hope that the angel and corals are tough enough to make it through the cycle. Either that or you can relocate the fish and corals to a quarantine tank for a few more weeks, if you've got one.

    negative... i do not have an extra tank... i dont have the space. but yeah the angel is a toughie. that fish has been through hell and back.

    everything is open. the green star polyps are the most delicate and were closed for about a week and now they are opening up. i thought they were going to die off, but they bounced back.

    i just replaced the lamp because it went out.

    im going to test the water tonight.
