College biology books did not work, 2 by 4's did not work. She never got out but she put a lot of thought into it. And she always tried the lid again once I closed it.::)

Rescuing any animal is extremely rewarding, no one can really go wrong with any type of volunteer work.

Your a good soul for taking in animals that have a far better chance in a loving home.

I go back and forth, but right now it is basically AZ where my nursing job is. I miss the ocean so badly.

California is the place to be though with regard to getting the best livestock. Prices are not nearly as bad as AZ, you get first shot at quality stuff. I have seen some amazing stuff in LFS. There used to be a warehouse in Fullerton, you need a member ship but it has some great stuff.

I may see you at the event in Costa Mesa, it's worth the 8 hour drive right ;D

    Dang it!

Having access to the wholesalers by LAX is a huge benefit of living here.

    I'm a nurse too, BTW.

Sounds cool! I had no idea their lifespan was so short... is that true for most octo's or just that particular species?

Almost all species. I think the giant octopus can live for three years, but you couldn't really keep it in a tank.
