Amen to that! He is incredible, always telling stories. He really isn't like any other vendor I've dealt with or helped.
If he is selling his stuff off could you maybe snag me one of his 175w halides? Or I'll just ask him at Lansing.


Wow, this really sucks... He got me going in the hobby and kept me in it...Now he got me to set up my own prop tank (not corals though). I guess he is leaving his legacy with you and those of us with his corals. So we can continue to propagate them and help new hobbyists in need.

 

So Paul is a vendor you guys know up there in michigan? Did he own a lfs?

 

He lives in Wisconsin. I live about 15 minutes away from him. He is based out of his house and does shows all over the midwest. He even did MACNA this year. He works as a team with his wife Karen. They are both the most helpful and nicest people you could ever meet.

What's Paul doing, that he is selling all his stuff (and house) ?

 

You are my idol! I do have one question for u though! How to you keep all the water evaporating? I have a 14 gallon frag tank and its impossible with out refilling it every hour. I have tried to lay a piece of plexi glass onto of the tank but it sagged and arched and eventually fell in. Do u have any recomendations?

Im not in it for the money, but yeah. Im hoping it will pay for itself initially. Which it should. I dont want to speak too much on Paul's behalf but his wifes health has not been very good and they work as a team. Its very sad. But he is happy that my partner and I are picking up where we left off. We hope to be doing the show circuit within the next two years and will be giving people the same service as Paul does.

Lets not throw titles like "idol" around until you have some of our healthy frags in your tank. But thank you very much. I will be using a JBJ auto top off unit probably in conjunction with a Tunze Ozmolator to keep the water level and salinity constant. As for all the water put into the air, I already have two dehumidifiers running from my existing tanks. Im thinking about buying one more big one to put into the basement though. That should handle it!

Im sure he will rebound. And even if he doesnt get back to a system as large as his current one, he will definitely be around still. I heard him say it himself. But thank you very much. Im getting way too excited about this build. This frag system will probably have well over 500 gallons of room to play with. That will be alot of corals.
