I ordered so much from them that they said just to contact them and they will throw in a few extra frags the next time I buy from them as well as the credit from the frag that was DOA. So Im happy. Gotta order from then again soon before it gets too cold around here. Unfortunately I know its coming up fast. :/

Ive heard great things about two part and its not terribly expensive so I figured Id give it a shot. Im a big fan of Red Sea products. I only use their coral pro salt and love it. Glad to hear good reviews about what I ordered!

    Your set-up looks pretty reasonable...
consider I don't know where you had braced the stud your using that hangs your lighting...
hopefully it's secure cuz you don't want that falling into the water and creating a huge problem...
Aso for the light difussers you had cut up and used for the frags to be with held In not shabby at all...
I guess you aim Is to make the corals health survive not the style...
next time gamit your utak before creating a frag system...
    :-/

It is secured by 4 2x4's and a total of 16 3 inch screws directly into the floor joist above.

I was under the assumption that was the purpose of a frag system. Growth over style. It is all functional and built on a budget as it is my first time setting up a tank this large. The next tank next to it is supposed to be the eye catcher. This is simply a grow out section. The tank on the stand that houses the sump will be rimless and shallow. The reason I went with a 125 long was simply because I got it for 100 dollars and couldnt turn that down.

I have no idea what this is supposed to mean. I can assure you all is very sturdy and can and will hold water. For a long time. I wouldnt have put this much time, money and effort into it if it wouldnt have. Thanks for your concern though.

That's good to hear. I'm glad everything is OK for the most part.

I definitely agree; "form follows function," function doesn't follow form. It should be functional before looking beautiful. Your tank stands look plenty strong - and I know they are. That's the same design was going to use for my 75g. It's heavy! lol.

The eeggcrate (light diffuser) frag racks are pretty much the standard for frag tanks. I'm not sure how else you would do it...maybe live rocks and then have detritus everywhere...

I can't wait to see the other tank. Shallow rimless tanks are my favorite. :D

The far left side of the tank that isnt lit yet and doesnt have shelving I was planning on being a live rock pile where I grow out larger colonies to frag off of. Atleast for the time being until I set up the next system . And I agree seano! Shallow rimless tanks are the best. The only reason why I didnt go all shallow rimless is because this tank was a test run in a way. I picked it up for way cheap so I couldnt turn it down. Its worked well for me so far. Its just not as nice to look at a rimless tank is.
