well ive been feeding my fish some nori. but there is something that ticks me off..

when i put it there, 3 minutes after my fish start eating it. it brakes off the clip. and starts floating around. ( most of the time my fish eat it anyways but it bothers me that is not in the clip and its just braking into pieces all over the tank)

any experience with this? is there any way that i can prevent this?

I found that if I folded mine in half so it wasn't getting flopped around in the current so much, it stays on the clip longer.

fold it one more time..i usually folded mine two or three times..it would still break off after a while but it would last through the majority of the feeding

Or perhaps its your brand of nori? I use "Emerald Cove" Brand Organic, untoasted, dried Pacific Nori. I don't have to fold it at all. I just tear a piece off and throw it on the clip. I have 5 fish that eat it and they just pick at it until they get down to the clip.

I have to fold mine several times. I don't leave more than 1/2" sticking out and the bare minimum inside the clip which is usually about an 1/8th of an inch.

Folding, feeding less and more often would be a good suggestion, My tangs will break apart the nori so fast, but having 5 of them they like the stuff floating better and its like a fumbled football and a bunch of players

they make a black plastic piece that kinda looks like gutter guard that goes over the nori it works for me :) you could probably cut some gutter guard and make it but they are cheap to buy

I use a rubberband around the clip to put extra pressure on the clip so the clip grasps the nori tighter. It seems to work pretty good.
