It is normal to see coralline algae growing on your snails or is there something way off balance in my tank? I just have a basic water test kit from Red Sea so I am unable to test or Calcium, phosphate....etc. :-/

Hey it's good to see coraline on snail.;D Certainly better than hair algae. Actually when my tank was first cycling
my turbos got some hair algae on them. It was pretty comical. A couple of them
we named superfly. The algae fro was twice the size of the snail. When they got close to a CL outlet, they would get blown around the tank.:biglaugh: After a while I did pull the algae off. Any way Better to have coraline than nusance algae.

Coralline growin on snails will help facilitate the spread of coralline. It's a good thing. ;D

Keep it growing!!!! Adds a lot of beautiful greens, pinks, reds and purples to your rock and snails!!!!!!!!! Perfectly normal-calcium and strontium levels must be ideal...

While using PurpleUp, my turbos turned purple with coraline algae. It was awesome!

I actually started half the recomended doses of PurpleUp yesterday. I already had some coralline algae growing so I thought this would help. Little afraid to put full dose in.

I would guess that is a picture of your tank szidls. What is the name of the pink coral towards the top of your avatar. It is beautiful.

Otty, The top coral is a montipora capricornis. It is a red orange color but my pic isn't the best. Thanks for the compliment.
