Normal for Candy Canes?

i really dont know much about candy canes or the correct terminology but i noticed on this one branch that the cream color doesnt go all they way down the "trunk?" best picture that i could get

Totally normal for caulastrea's. That is there skeletal structure. Some anomalies have flesh that go way past that, but it is not very common.

They look great by the way!

ok, i was just worried that something was eating them as i found a tiny red bug in their bag once i dumped the water into my sink, i dont have anything to dip my corals in so i just placed it in my tank and crossed my fingers that there werent anymore bugs

looks so bare there, strange how they dont go lower.
