I have a lyretail anthias and ive noticed it sometimes like to rest in a crevice on my LR.... it doesnt seem like anything is wrong with it, it'll sit there for a few minutes then start swimming again... is this normal?

Yep, several species of fish will do that, wait until you get an expensive fish that likes to "play dead"

My male lyre tail rests in barnacles all the time. He actually waits for the damsel to come swimming past so he can chase it away
