Not bad for a cheap skimmer

This is the skimmate for one day from my cheap 50.00 jebo skimmer its working better then i thought it would. :trampolin

You no that basically all skimmers are the same and will do a good job. The trick is to use the proper main pump and run the proper amount of water past the skimmers pump in the sump. Then have the proper pump on that skimmer and keep the foam dry,
I see guys trying to blast 10x the tanks size through the sump and then they always want to jack up the skimmers pump and all that does is create a wet light skimmate . Its not doing anything good and makes the skimmer less efficient.
The Kid at our shop had a skimmer that was rated for 250 gph or so through the skimmer a Mag 7 or rio 3100 he put a mag 9.5 upgrade and was getting a lot of wet foam I loaned him a old RIO 2500 and he said yesterday that his skimmer had never pulled such dark thick and stinky stuff since he had the skimmer in place . less is most time more.
