Wow, just read your thread on the other forum. When I was saying you were running 300-350w of light on your 225g, why didn't you correct me and tell me you have the actual wattage readings from your lights. Turns out you run you lights output at an average of 260w.

So yes, if you run 750w of MH on your tank, you will most likely have better sps results.
Yes, if you add soem T5 to your exhisting light, you will most likely hjave better results.

Yes you problem could be something else as well but the obvious problem is not enough light. After you are providing enough light you can worry about all those other possible problems if they still exhist.

Right. Lol. Ya I couldn't quit figure out how our dialogue wasn't lining up.

I found a local guy with this for sale:

3x 250w SE lumen bright minis
    3x ARO electronic ballasts
3x radium bulbs (4 months old)

    $400

    Decent?

3x 250w SE lumen bright minis (excellent reflector and you can run them high off water 10"+ to reduce heat)
3x ARO electronic ballasts (Not a fan but they will work fine)
    3x radium bulbs (great choice)

Good deal. You might try to negotiate lower since it's hard to sell MH systems.

Lots of ppl out there trying to sell halide systems. Keep shopping for a good deal while considering and negotiating those.

I've seen some on the cheap lately on other forums.

all metal halide is not equal. The lumenbrite reflectors are some of if not the best on the market today. Believe it or not these reflectors can be up to 50% more efficient that others out there.

Gcarroll, what's your opinion on the current brand halide fixtures and reflectors?
