    Forum I have noticed this growth in the smaller aquarium not sure what it is or how to proceed.... As a OCB sufferer i need some feedback......LOL

    looks like an algae magnet to me LOL
    with either diatoms or cyno or some other brown algae on it

    Looks like a type of film algae. Take the magnet out and scrub it off, should come right off.

    Yeah, looks like some diatoms to me. How old is the tank?

    ANPGP: I inherited from my daughter who had it for over two years.... but since I have added RIP rocks was not sure if that was the culprit.....TY

    Algae is also growing on L/R

    Forum:

    Cleaned the aquarium but have noticed that the Algae is also growing on L/R should i be worried? I have slowed down the feeding and light schedule just in case....

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Usually takes awhile to go away. Just use ro/di for wc, keep feedings light.

    What type of flow do you have ? Powerhead wise......

    It's completely normal for any tank. If I over feed, I'll see film algae take off. Just watch what you add to the tank and you should be fine.
