not sure what this is

    I took this rock out to scrape some bubble algae off it. It came on a rock I bought today and this rock has some type of plant growing on it. When I took it out of the water these green balls were sticking out as the rest flattened. It looked like bubble algae but it's on stems its not just a ball.. very weird.

    This pick is the rock in the water it is inside those tree looking bush things on the left side of rock..

    You can't see it in the picture but those balls have a long hard green stem holding them up off the rock.

    Grape Caulerpa. It's a type of macroalgae that can also become a nuisance if left unchecked.

    Gotta say it.....ditto Mr. Bill :) and I'll add get rid of it a.s.a.p. is goes sexual with lights out and will spread like wild fire!!

    myrionema hydroids..not good can sting coral...google search them and see the proper way of gettting rid of them

    I can just pull rock out and split it in two and throw away that part..
