    im 100% positive this what they are, ive had them...sorry they arent grape caulerpa 1,000,000%, i dont even know where you would get to that conclusion...just sayin

    my bad mr bill it is grape caulerpa, but thats the least of this worries...look to the left of the pick and that big brown patch is pom pom hydroids...i mis read the post and thought that was what id he was after....

    I have to admit I was confused myself. The first pic you can't see the caulerpa. You can see it in the second one.lol Hydroids.Yuk.....

    Looks like hydroids on the left in the first pic, grape caulerpa is the green stuff.

    Cutting off caulerpa at the stem isn't going to help. You'll have to try to pull it out runners and all, but if any roots are left it's going to come back. Take the rock out, pull out all you can of the runners and roots, and scrub that area with a clean toothbrush, rinse in tank water, then put it back in.
