    hey guys well i went my LFS to pick up 2 new editions i got a maroon clownfish and a lionfish. He told me to feed them with garlic and vit C
    i said ok...but didnt want to look like a fool saying how? So ill figure and ask my freindly Forum for advice. How do u feed with garlic and vit C
    is it just reg garlic from the store (garlic powder) i need help cause he said the first 1-2 weeks is gonna be scray for the fish in his new tank. I tried feeding my lion frozen silversides but that didnt work i have a new method today (sharpend tube line) ...but i really want to give him good nutrition for the first couple of weeks in my tank.
    i have a 55 gallon 70ibs of live rock
    amm 0
    nitrite 0
    nitrate 10ppm
    ph 8.2-8.3
    salt 1.022
    temp 79 F

    2 blue devils, 2 3 spot and 2 4 stripe ( the blue devils are running for thier life)

    You are spending a lot of money on eventual Lionfish food - they can expand that mouth real big , watch it yawn, they do this sometimes and that mouth size will scare you never mind the damsels
    Garlic - crush normal house hold cloves of garlic in a press and add a few drops of the liquid to any foods or you can buy a liquid garlic such as Kent Garlic gaurd from you LFS , its more expensive this way but a little more convenient
    vitamins - best way is to buy commercial brands and use the dose on the labels as you can have problems if you dose to many vitamins into your system

    WOW thanx for the quick response! now thas what iam talking about thanx alot steve. As far as dosing how much drops should i drop (garlic) on lets say a frozen silverside...after its come to room temp. I have a real small dropper...could i suck up the garlic and then squeeze it in the silversides mouth?

    Just dip the silverside in the garlic juice. Coat the surface. With fish that like Nori (seaweed), you just rub some on the seaweed. With flake food, dip and drop in tank. I've never dosed with vits, so not comment there!!!!

    thanx john that clears thing up. I have alot of garlic powder not to sound newbie but can i dilute that with water then apply it on the food...i mean its garlic...just powdered.

    well just got home from work and tried the air tube method..i put the tale of the silverside in the tubeing and waved it in front of him...he didnt really care to much about it..so i went to back to the LFS and picked up 6 ghost shrimp and i put them in my tank...i know he ate 1 of them...but i cant find the other 5....maybe he ate them all...is a ghost shrimp diet ok? do u guys have any other ideas to help me feed him frozen silverside
