not at all... I ride the fence sometimes on- "do I correct someone's spelling, or do I just leave it alone?" This time I chose the former because it was making my eye twitch everytime I read it... LOL :inquisiti

If the lights are wired in series, then both of the bulbs in the series pair have to be good working bulbs, or neither will light.

Hear ya.. was the same for me during my WoW 'career'. I'd see rogue spelled rouge so often I'd finally have to say something.

Did you buy the fixture new?

If so, you should get whole new light fixture at no charge.

Otherwise, you could swap out the ballast with the stock one, or get a workhorse ballast and rewire it.

It was definitely the ballast i switched all the bulbs around and they all glow just in the same two sockets. I called drs foster and smith and they are sending me out a new light and a return shipping label to send the old one back. Can wait to see what this fixture looks like on my tank when its just not half working! I guess it kinda let everything acclimate in my tank to the new lighting though, lol

    4 bulb Nova T5

I just plugged the exact same light in with 2 bulbs working the other not. I swapped bulbs, same thing. Man has this been a pain setting up my new tank. First the Sedona stand base came cracked and now the light fixture came in defective.

There must have been a bad batch of ballasts. Contact where you bought it from and go from there.

i've recently though 1 of my ballasts were out too. it was just a loose connection at the end cap.

    little shove and tape worked.
