    hey everybody
i was just wondering if a Nova Extreme T-5 HO fixture would be ok for a reef tank. my tank is a 29 gallon and its demensions are Height= 17.25
width= 12.25 and length= 30.25. It says they some with a 460nm actinic bulb and a 10,000 kelvin bulb. should i replace these or not when and if i get it.

Get the Nova Extreme Pro, the one with SLRs or single lamp reflectors, otherwise you are wasting money and electricity, two things you don't want to waste....

Get the Nova extreme pro like he said. I bought it around a month and a half ago. it works very well on my tank. looks great, better on electricty. better light output. and all my corals are flourishing. im even able to keep some sps at the top of the tank.

I have a Nova Extreme. The fan is a tad noisy so I have been running it without the fan and so far tank temp is no problem and bulb life doesn't seem to be affected. The pro is an upgrade version and has it's better points I suppose.

I have the Nova Extreme 36" and the fans were loud when they worked and the lunar lights stopped working as well. I would save a little extra and get a better fixture or you will end up like me and spending more money a year later to do it right. :D
