Nova extreme t5 fans

    Sorry this is a stupid question. I just got my new nova extreme h.o. 4 lamp with moon lights. Does the fan have to be on all the time that the lights are on or not, because man is baby is loud my girl friend puts up with my remora witch is not to bad to me but she will kill me with this fan always on. Thanks for the help !!!!

    No, I only run it when the daylight bulbs come on. I don't think it's that loud, it may just be a personal taste thing.

    Hi, the fan is intended, as you may know, to cool the bulbs so the bulb lasts as long as it should and deliver optimal performance. I would say if it bothers her, if there is a time period she won't be there, run the fan at least for that period.

    You could try replacing the fan with a quiet one. I had a nova extreme fixture at one point in time and i agree with you that the fan is loud. I would only run it with the daylights on.

    Thanks guys i just set the fan on a timer to come on for an hour and off for a half till she forgets about the noise ha ha thanks again.
