Nova T5 acting weird...

    Before I went nuts changing out ballasts I would first eliminate the possibilities that are easier to fix...

    ...like the timers. Sometimes the mechanism in the timer doesn't latch all the way and causes the light to switch on and off a few times, which of course isn't good for the ballast.

    Try turning it on and off a few times independent of the timer and see if you can reproduce the problem. If not start looking at your timer. If so start looking at your ballast...

    Ok, thanks for the replies. Theres a lot of good options here. I will try and figure things out tonight and look for the reciept.

    Yes. I just replaced a four bulb 48" fixture from current USA. It was a nova extreme series. Just match colors. Very easy. Don't let the amount of wires overwhelm you, take it slow.
