So parts of me thinks I'm stupid, but other parts of me are all giddy... nonetheless I agreed today to accept the donation of an AGA 210(yes, I'm getting for free)!! This really nice lady I work with is going through a divorce and, as a result, is moving and neither she or her soon to be ex husband can take the tank to their new residence. The only stipulation is that it the tank must be gone by this Saturday. It is presently set up and running w/ salt h2o, but no livestock(except a few snails and starfish), live rock or sand.

So I'm getting the tank (72x24x29 Oak, drilled on both ends, not corners), AGA custom stand which has cabinet doors on both side(tank is set up as a peninsula), Coralife 72" MH fixture, chiller, skimmer, INCREDIBLE custom acrylic sump(although, no fuge built in :-/), all pumps, plumbing, a sterilizer, etc, ect. etc. I wanted to take pictures, but didn't want to seem rude inspecting and taking pictures of stuff she obviously didn't want to give away. In general though, it's all less than 3 years old and in immaculate condition. I will def. take pictures before I start breaking stuff down.

So my problem is...what the hell am I going to do with this thing once I get it here? I already have a 150, 50 and 30! Anyone have a tank that was designed to be seen from both long sides, but not either end? I really like the idea of being able to see and access both sides, but don't really have anywhere in my house to set it up this way.

Anyway, the plan is for me to go there Friday evening, drain it and start move the smaller things. Saturday, with the help of 4 other guys, we'll move the tank and stand to my garage while I figure out what to do with it. Anyone have good ideas for protecting the tank for the 30 minute drive from her house to mine? Maybe the best thing that could happen to me(and my bank account) is for it to break on the way here.. :p

It sounds like you really don't want it, but also didn't want to pass up such an amazing deal. Why not just replace one of your other tanks with this one and sell the one you take out, or you could really limit your work and just sell this new tank. Free money.
