And among dosing their products, etc., they recommend what they say is NSW levels(probably is), with a what I'd consider low Kh/Alk of 6.5-7.5
And I"ve been trying to raise mine, now at about 9.
Mg 1280-1350 (see correct param levels below)
    Ca- 400

Actually, the zeovite admin. on their forum posted these params:
    KH 6.5 – 7.5
    Ca 400 – 420 mg
    Mg 1250 – 1300 mg
    K+ ~ 380 mg

It would seem the carbon dosing (vodka/vinegar), is trying to achieve the same results?
NOw granted, I think their additives do have Vitamins, mineral, etc. Also read a good article why it's NOT snake oil!

    Any thoughts?

Talk to Shin, he has been researching this type of system for a while now. From what I can tell Most/All Zeo system are stunning.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
With Zeovite you have to run a lower ALK or you will see ALK burns, similar to when you run a carbon dosing tank. Supposedly Zeovite is not as effective at higher ALK values either.

We all know Cheryl loves this link: If you look they put the average ALK of NSW around 7 dkh.

There is a whole Zeovite forum if you're interested. Not everyone loves the pastels of a Zeovite tank, I on the other hand find it most attractive. Hopefully one day I will be able to have my own Zeovite systems.

    Fantastic article!

Cheryl, pretty sure you could start over and start Zeo on your tank :) If you do it, ill do it. "One team, one dream"

    Thanks Chris. :)

I would love to, but currently I do not have the money nor time. Have you seen the prices of this stuff and the calculations and documentation. It's for the dedicated true reef geeks (you might be a reef geek if....) (not that, that is a bad thing). :)

I look forward to Shin starting it when he does.

All carbon dosing methodologies include keeping alk levels at the same as NSW. Which is 7dkh.

Haha, well I might be a reef geek but sometimes it pays off ;)

I would love to try that type of system on a nano just because of cost alone. Also I love adding upgrades to small tanks. ;)
