Don't know if they eat coral but if they die they can nuke your tank. Most nudibranches are very toxic.

Never heard of them eating coral. Some eat sponge, others algae.

there are certain nudibranches that eat montipora or zoas, they usually eat alage. However, they are very hard to keep in the home aquarium because where they are found in the reef is very specific and sort of its own little microenvironment.

Chromodorids eat sponges, so they won't eat your corals, however...they are very specific in their dietary requirements. They will only eat specific sponges that you probably don't have in your tank, and aren't available from the suppliers. The toxic ones are phyllidiids, chromodorids won't nuke your tank, they'll just starve to death in a few months.

    Cheers,

    Don

yes they are, but you dont have to worry about these guys nuking your tank. they will wipe out the aiptasia, and if dont get rid of them they will just starve to death. but they work great!!

they eat spounges according to their color. i saw one blue nudi that only ate blue spounge, so some are very hard to keep. but they are so kool looking
