Over the last couple of days my Fox coral has been showing signs of distress, then this morning before any of the lights came on I happened to look in the tank and saw something I did not expect. There was what looked like a nudibrach (?) eating on the coral. The messed up thing is I have never bought a nudibrach. I dont know where he came from, but I know where he is now. I should have taken some pics before I executed him but I was pissed :furious3:that he was eating one of my prized coral. Has this ever happened to anyone else.

Closely inspected coral frags and live rock is a good practice to ensure that this doesn't re- occur. Obviously your not going to be able to look in some spots, but, it's a good idea prior to adding to DT.

yea "unwanted" critters always seem to come in on frags' and fresh live rock
always have to watch for the "unwanted' distructive ones .

the ocean reef's are such a diverse world , if ya think about it , how many other creatures or habbits to we yet have to discover.
we stand upon the backs of others research / acheivement and failures.

There are specific Nudibrach's that eat specific corals . A Nudibrach has no place in the average home aquarium they all die with in a few weeks to months .. They are such specfic feeders and will not eat anything else and some prefer corals So if you paid money for your Nudibrach enjoy it till it fades away. But I'd not buy another one.. The lettuce and a few other types are being kept and breed in tanks and live longer now days as they can be fed..
