Nudibranch?

    Found this little guy crawling on the glass. It's approx. 1/2" long. Any help?

    Yes, it's an aeolid nudibranch, but I won't venture a guess as to the ID. Most of the ones that end up in reef tanks as hitchhikers feed on one coral species or another.

    just picked one of those out of my tank it was eating my colt coral, and im guessing its who put the damage on the base of my finger leather that i pulled recently. was wondering why the corals weren't opening fully. till i found IT.

    No, don't have any corals yet. I did just buy alot of new LR recently.

    Thank you all for the ID. Ironically, I noticed some aiptasia also on the new live rock. From the ID you gave me, some websites say that aside from corals, it may feed on aiptasia. But he obviously has to go, while I can still see him.

    I wouldn't count on it eating aiptasia though, pull it like you planned.

    Definitely not a Berghia Nudibranch IMO. I'd get it out of there.

    Amazing! As I removed him from the tank (he was hanging around at the waterline), I thought I broke him in two peices. After looking at him in a clear plastic cup, he is actually THEM. The larger one in the picture, and a smaller one. I wonder how they reproduce?
