I have seen an explosion of these guys in my frag tank. They seem to prefer to stay out of the light. Haven't really seen them on the coral, mainly on the glass. Should I worry? Should I begin an attack?

Scypha Sponge. Also called pineapple sponge. Harmless filter feeders.

Yup, they definitely are Scypha (pineapple) sponges. Some people don't like the way they look, but they don't hurt anything.

    Cheers,

    Don
