Looking really good. All the corals are colorful and healthy looking.

Thanks! It's been hard the last few weeks with my knee.
I had a few losses which was a big bummer. Parameters were good so I don't know what went wrong.. I had replaced some GFO and that's what I'm thinking but im not 100%

    Sounds like a likely suspect.

Looks like you are getting a lot of coralline to the rock work.

Yes it's coming in great. Starting to get some on the back glass too. It all bleached when I added my new light but is coming back good now.

It was weird. I changed my GFO. 48 hours later my tang died. Within 12 hours of that my Royal gramma was gasping for air then the clown :(

So far all the inverts, Randall goby, lawnmower blenny, and cuc are fine. It's been a couple days since all that went down. None of them showed signs of ich so I don't know what to think. Just sad

Did you let the gfo reactor dump water into a bucket before you let it cycle water?

I hook my diy reactor up to my rodi for a bit and shake it up to get all the dust out before i hook it to my tank. The old gfo wasnt but a few weeks old so I assumed I wouldnt shock the tank

Come to think of it I rinsed it before I even put it in the reactor. Im still not 100% sure thats what happened. Just cant think of anything else

I reworked my sump a week before that too. I really need to redo my plumbing but it works for now

Hmm.. What I normally do is put the gfo in the reactor, take the return line from the reactor out and put it in a 5 gallon bucket and let it run for about 2 gallons just so all the dust is out, same for carbon. Really odd I don't think there is any shock factor as gfo absorbs phosphates. Was this gfo freshly opened for that change? If so maybe a bad batch of gfo?

Picked up a couple new clowns yesterday. A Misbar and False Perc. Also added a Torch and hammer coral. Little guys but id rather spent 15 bucks each and watch them grow than 140e..

Hard to get a still shot, they are all over the place
