I have all sorts of snails, hermit crabs, emerald crabs, and I also have a coral beauty, algae blenny, and kole tang. However, there's still green algae that none of them seem to be able to eat all over the glass and rocks. I can't get it with my magnet scraper either. They only way I can get it off the glass is with a credit card scraping it, which is a long tedious process. Does anyone know what this is and what will eat it?

I have purple coraline, and it doesn't even look similar. I'm trying to figure out how to get pictures onto 3reef.

Here we go. I didn't mean in color. The structure of the algae just looks a little different. These pictures aren't great, but there something.

When you scrape it off does it seam crunchy? or is it stringy?
looks like the same stuff I get.
I know this sounds strange but different colors grow different.I have pink on my galss that grows like a snowflake patteren where the green tend to just clump up on the glass.

It comes off in sheets almost. It its not really in hard chips like coraline would seem to be. As I take the card and comb it down the side, it comes off in a sheet and then the sheet breaks apart in the water column.

how long has the tank been set up? how old are your lamps? and, is your tank by a window? or somewhere close to sunlight shinning in it doesnt take much and it doesnt have to shin on it. maybe some of these questions will help you

The tank is 4-5 months old. New bulbs were added when the tank was set up. A small amount of the tank gets a short period of sunlight for about 45 minutes, but this algae is growing in parts of the tank that receive no direct sunlight.
