    I have a pretty firm grasp of the differences between PO4 and copper . If you are dipping then what is the worry or concern about the copper and rocks ? You don't use rocks in a dip just fish. As copper will kill of the L/R as well.

    upon further research i found out that copper will indeed kill the bacteria like you say(never trust LFS guy:angry:). so i redact my idea of using it on the live rock since it would be the same as nuking it.

    Let me pass on what I learned as a kid of about 12 yrs old ! My Gandfather was a Plumbing and heating Contractor . I used too work for him about all my life or his Brother the electrical contractor as far as I can remember one or the other had be crawling into little places . He was talking about a Man about a steam boiler and was making a point , It was the days when a kid was to be seen and not heard :) I interjected some of what I though was good infomation about a steam boiler LOL Pop shot me that "look" of Boy I'll kill your A$$ later :) We got in the truck to Leave the building he slapped the hell out of me and said boy do you realize how *&&((& stupid you just sounded ? Never open your mouth about what you think you know ! Its always best to just keep your mouth closed and just look like a G*^&((Da* Idiot rather then to open your mouth and remove all doubt! Words I never forgot .. To many others where never taught the life lesson :) But you'll find them all over the place here a LFS to even some so called smart guys :)

    Hoss being a kid raised in the south I got preached at daily! Or hit with somthing LOL I just don't talk about what I don't know to just be talking.. Never get above your raising was what I was taught ;)
