Yea I actually had a long thread I started that turned into a discussion about that.. It looks promising I just haven't had the time to follow through with it.

Just took this I've never seen the Xenia out so much!

Did a MAJOR cleaning today in the sump... i started running a filter sock now after decinding i dont want to clean all the gunk out of the sump like that again..... it was really bad. i have a feeling that all of the stuff that was in there has alot to do with my algae problem. i cleaned brown gunk off of everything lol...

Does anyone run a filter sock also with the water that drains into the refugium? im going to clean all the junk out of that next and im also going to get rid of all the sand in it i think....i have a feeling its not helping much

Your xenia is very pretty! I was trying to get some white xenia but LFS didn't have any at the moment :(......I'm sure with all of your cleaning of gunk, it will pay off with good results! The peroxide is a pretty easy method actually. Keep us updated!

So I'm thinking of redoing my overflow piping a bit.. First of there's a few spots accumulating salt creep so they are deff leaking a bit. Second I have 2 outlets coming from my overflow box, one goes to the skimmer chamber and one to the fuge on the opposite side of the sump. I want to get rid of the drain into the fuge, then run a T with a valve from my return pump into the fuge. Mainly that would stop any junk from getting into the fuge I don't want since I have a filter sock on the skimmer outlet but not the fuge. Make sense orrrr?

I wish I could help but I don't have a fuge or sump and really not a very good understanding of plumbing....so, basically worthless with your question. I hope someone chimes in for you!

So ive decided to "downgrade" to a smaller all in one for the time being. Just purchased a JBJ 28g with LED's and a stand for $389... not too bad. Well see how this pans out, im going to start transfering everything i can as soon as the new tank is set up this wknd.
