It appears on the fuge side you only have one baffle? If this is the case, perhaps moving the return pump up against the skimmer side baffle would help (as far to the left as you can get it.) If not, you might have to cut down the size of the fuge and add another baffle. Match it to the skimmer side configuration.

Thanks for the pics. They help a lot. Hope I did, too. :)

    Good luck.

I do only have one baffle for my fuge, and I am actually not getting many bubbles from it. I have the flow cut back to it so I think the bubbles are being diffused in the rocks. They majority of the are coming from the skimmer drain side. I could try to move the pump to the fuge side, but I think I my hose is tight. Thanks again!!!!

That skimmer should be easy to route the outlet to a filter sock with the drain if thats a route you want to try. All you have to do is re-direct the output with PVC and put a ball valve on it to control how much water can pass to adjust how your skimming (wet or dry). Its a common mod to ASM skimmers and should hold true to your octopus. I use a 4" filter sock and that is plenty to contain bubbles from my ASM G3 and a 2" drain pipe with a 45* elbow.

i have exactly the same problem as you. i have baffles and such in my refugium, but i get short little burst of bubbles maybe every 5 mins from my return. my output from my overflow is in a filter sock, and not one single bubble makes it out of it. my skimmer is my only source of micro bubbles and a little bit make it to my return, build up on it, and get released in the bursts. reading this thread i am going to try to drag the sock over a little bit and have the output from the skimmer drain into the sock to eliminate all of the bubbles. good luck:)
