    I can't seem to decide in my rock formation or coral placement ever. I am changing it once a week or so. Is this potintaly bad for my coral and tank

    Bad, hmmm, not deadly usually, but corals do much better when left alone in one spot. Mine seem to grow much faster when I leave them be even if their placement may not be the best with regards to being able to see the coral or an aesthetically pleasing scape.

    Hard to resist the urge to move stuff I know.

    Yes. You should only put your hands in the tank when necessary as you introduce dirt, oils from your skin, etc into the water. You are also stressing your corals by constantly moving them about. Once placed, they should be left alone.
