Ok - So my acros are doing great and I have new fish. Then I noticed my Turboflotor skimmer stopped skimming.

I took the pump apart to find that my needlewheel impeller is missing a lot of bristles that apparently broke off.

I'm screwed. Nobody local carries a replacement and I know that recently the USA Aqua Medic distributor burned to the ground!

    Damn my luck.

Should I just order a whole new pump if someone has one in stock, or does anybody know any place with impellers?

Or would a coralife needlewheel pump work with it?

I need to figure this out fast! :p

Matt, check out www.seatechaquariums.com They sell the needlewheel separately and the needlewheel impellor. Check under filters, then protein skimmers.

    Thanks guys!
The one at Marine depot doesn't look the same.

My pump is a Ocean Runner 2500, but they call it the 2700 because it comes with the needle wheel impeller instead of the normal impeller.

Thanks for the lead! That is promising. I sent them an email.

What a drag! I'm missing 5 bristles. I wonder how that happened!

Custom Aquatics sells the impellar as well.

Your's is in stock (NW only) and if orderred tomorrow morning, may make it here friday via ground. Trypically it takes 2 days for ground to get here from C.A. and M.D..
