I just bought one 3 weeks ago and the lights have been working fine but when I bought it they made it a point to check the lights right away because he said he had one that had both lights burnt out. Has anybody had the sump run dry. carefull with the kelp I had some in 30 gal spread every where and it became a problem.

Good luck with it. Turns out the ballast needed to be replaced. I saw that someone else on another forum had the same problem after only two weeks of use. Everything else seems to be going ok except, we find that we have to change the filter every two weeks. This can be expensive in the long run. We cut part of the plastic off the chamber that houses the bio balls and that seemed to help the flow of water too.

    How's your's working out?
