oceanic salt

    Anybody use oceanic brand salt? What do you guys think of it..? Currently I use to have 400 calcium 2 weeks ago test, and last week came out 380. So just asking if this is normal for oceanic salt.

    No.... Oceanic has HIGH levels... The last 3 buckets I tested were all 472Ca and 1140mg which is low of Mg but that isn't the question here... The Ca was HIGHER a few years back before they reformulated it... It was in the upper 500's for a while with a bucket I had once at 640!!!!

    I use it,I tested it to be around 480 also.Have you added anything to raise ALK?

    nope i dont use buffers

    The alk on the last couple test batches was 9 dkH in all cases.. Pretty darn good IMO aside from a little low on the Mg....
