I know its not the best skimmer but i was thinking about taking out the false bottom in chamber one of the biocube and elongating the reaction chamber.....any better ideas? think that would work?

i really dont think it would have much of an affect at all

if you want a good skimmer for a biocube check out the sapphire aquatic ones
(you can find them on nano tuners)
they only fit into the middle chamber though

isnt the idea to get more air to water contact inside that reaction chamber?? elongating it would give it more time(not much but any more then what it has can help)
Saphire aquatics looks nice but my fuge is working soo well at the moment..

I use one of these on my 10 gallon, works fairly well. It does produce more of a wet skimate rather than a thick dry but it does work.
