Ocellaris Clownfish looks like its trying to host zoas?!! lol

    so for the last few weeks one of my Ocellaris Clownfish
    has been rubbing all over my zoas all day and sleeps on top of them at night, anyone else had this happen? lol i have a pic of the zoas but not of them together cause everytime i go to the tank he thinks its feeding time lol

    Gotcha, makes more sense now ;D Yeah, its not uncommon for OC clowns o try to take residence in a coral. I haven't seen them in zoas often, but should be ok. Typically corals will close up a bit at first, but then they get used to it and open up more. If the zoas stays closed for more than a few days it may be an issue. If they stay mostly open, I probably wouldn't worry about it.

    Sweet thanks for the info i recently got a BTA so hopefully they move from the zoas to the BTA

    I have come to say this: Clown fish reside they do not host. Spread the word. Yes it's really not important and just semantics. Thank you for allowing me address a silly pet peeve. lol

    Not uncommon, I might have an issue with it if my purple hornet zoanthids where hosting my clown fish though.

    Now in all fairness Cheryl, how do you know the OC wasn't trying to get the zoas to reside on her? :p

    Ok MR. Chemical warfare, everyone has their pet peeve. That just happens to be mine, why I can not let it go I have no clue. Perhaps too much coffee this am. My apologies to the OP.::)
