This little guy was sold to me as an ocellaris. As he's grown a bit and his color has become more defined, I've began to question whether he's a percula. He's always moving so I havent been able to attempt to count the dorsal spines and I also don't see any orange in his eye.

I just find the amount of black on him to be different compared to most ocellaris clowns. Sorry for the bad pics, the best I could get with him swimming like crazy and my iPhone.

It's really hard to tell. Well at least to me. Very little difference in color maybe, but the only real way to tell is to count the dorsal fin spines.

Thank you! He looks so different now from when I first got him. He used to be a much brighter orange and didn't have as much black. It's been really neat to watch him change colors.

Appears to be a variant of the ocellaris- perhaps a picasso. Definitely not original markings for oc or perc.

Well that would be a pleasant surprise; $20 for a picasso.

I've seen snowflakes and picassos at the LFS I got it from and they're priced anywhere from $100 to $200 it seems.

Look at the eye very closely in the pics, it looks like a percula especially the markings.

Sorry for bringing this back from the dead, but I have some slightly better pictures and I think I narrowed it down to type of clown I have!

I believe he is a Half Picasso Percula. I've been looking at a bunch of different clown pics and that is the closest match I can find.
