    Where does Orphek state that the light will last more than 50000 hours? Only place I see that is the retail outlet for this product.

    Wow. This is like a revolution in aquarium lighting. That's awesome.

    The price does seem steep, but in the long run it will level out.

    Well if you snagged this Orphek LED at $660 this week you were lucky. The price just went up to $700. And from an email I received this morning, it may go up again. :p

    8 hours per day for 8 years is 23,360 hours; less than half the MTBF. These things are seriously long term investments, but man, they pay off once you get past the initial.

    $850 per each 24" light!? You'll never see me using one of these... way too much money! I know this is not a cheap hobby, but come on! even at $660 I thought it was a little too much... I wish I had all the money I want to spend on this hobby :D

    I NEED TO WIN THE TN LOTTERY!!! :D
