Because of the setup in my 55 gallon tank, I really have no room at all in my sump (There are two chambers, one 3x12 inches, and one is like 8x12, TINY! I can't find an in sump skimmer that's worth anything to fit). So I've heard good things about the AquaC remoras, but something just seems wrong about a skimmer with no air intake. I'm looking at the octopus BH-300F skimmer. Has anyone tried one of these? Any opinions one way or another?

Yea, I've heard people swear by the Remoras, but the more I study them the more I just feel like they wouldn't work! There's no venturi, no air intake, it just relies on the air and water sloshing inside from what I can tell...

I found a sic deal on this octopus, it does seem to get stellar reviews, so I think I'm gonna give it a shot :)

I have used the remora on three tanks. AWSOME hob skimmer, one of the best out there BUT im a HUGE octopus fan and the octo is one of the only HoB skimmers id take over the remora
