    Hello all,
I've had this "octopus" head for about three weeks in my 20 nano reef and it seems to be doing good (fully expanding and eating everyday) but I've noticed it dispels a long ribbon of mucus-like brown stuff about every other day. Is it bleaching or is it pooping? Should I move it to the bottom of the tank? I really want to make it happy as fast as I can so I don't end up killing it *facepalm*
    thanks!
    p.s. levels are
    78 degrees
    pH 8.2
    sg 1.024
    dkh 10
no bad levels of trites or trates
    (lighting should be in signature)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Frogspawn (Euphyllia).

If it's maintaining it's coloration than probably just expelling waste. If it's fully inflating it's most likely good.

Can not comment on the light though.

I thought maybe it was expelling its excess zooxanthellae - not sure - as though it seems happy and is always fully inflated - just don't want to be doing it harm.
