    Here was my solution. Took some playing around to get it just right, but it works for me.

    The picture doesn't really show it perfectly (older pic too), but basically I wedged that black sponge that came with it PARTIALLY between the back wall and the return opening.

    I have to periodically remove the sponge for cleaning. But it works.

    FYI - I also have LR rubble and a heater in there

    Also, I did this to keep snails/fish out (mostly my blenny)
