Did either of you get your skimmers working? Any chance we can get a picture of how it is setup? Is it producing bubbles? On those skimmer I would plug the air inlet than adjust the water level right where you can still remove the cup. Than put the cup back on and unplug the air hose and let it skim there for awhile. I've heard of skimmers being skipped with the normal impeller rather than the needle wheel. Last thing is to put the air line under water and let it suck some water than bring it back up.

Is the top of that outlet pipe adjustable? Can you lower it a little? I have an external version and it is a wedge pipe is it the same? Your water level will never be lower than that pipe outlet.

Mine is still not working, almost 6 days now. It is producing bubbles but no foam. I have checked and it does have the needle wheel.

If you are producing small bubbles just let it ride for awhile longer. My ETSS took a month to really do anything. And I mean anything.

I don't know if you can emulate this with yours, but with mine, Tangster told me to block off the air and adjust the water so it foamed at the bottom where the box meets the tube. He said just to let it go for as long as it took. Then, when it started skimming, let the air flow and do micro adjustments as needed. The second month it was doing more. At the third month, I messed up and turned it on high, knocking all the slime buildup off the walls and into my sump. It took another month for it to build up and break in again. I am on my sixth month and it is doing better than all other previous months.

Any skimmer needs a break in period. You just need to find where your foam needs to be as a starting point and let it ride dude. Let it ride. Those skimmers are good quality units. It will start producing.....It just takes some time.

lol well the saltwater gods heard my prayers, cause i woke up this morning to find a big dense ball of foam in the top of the cup and foam all the way up the neck. thats was weird i finally freak then it works.lol

it sounds dead silent to me?, but i had a CSS with a recirculation mod, so that thing was really loud.

i did dunk the air inlet in the water a few times last night. and i ran it with the bubble level like 1 " below the top of the neck. to skim very wet. when i woke up this morning it seemed like the water level in the skimmmer was a lil lower and the neck was filled with foam instead of water/fizz.

i also plugged the air inlet for a few min to see what you were talkin about, so it blasted a lot of water threw it for a few min.

i do not really no what i did. it just started.lol
