Hello all, after a dreadful experience with a Red Sea Priszm as previously posted I am in the market for a new skimmer. I am going to purchase a bigger tank (76 gallon half circle) and I am leaning towards the Octopus NW-150? Anyone have any experiences or feedback?

Octopus makes a good skimmer. You will be pleased with it.

I have the Octopus NW-110. I think the skimmer is great. I will say the instructions are non-existent! I actually used the picture on the Aquacave site to put mine together (yes, the instructions are that bad). It probably took 4-5 days before it really started producing good icky stuff, and it takes a little adjusting to get the water level just right. I loved the small footprint (I have enough junk in my sump) and cleaning the cup is much easier than the Berlin I had.

i started that thread. and kinda took shots at first. only cause i was still frustrated from my old skimmer. i should update that thread and let yall know how much i enjoy the octo now. you will def be pleased with its performance. the nw 200 is not much more if you want to be safe get that one. any thing from 150 up will be more than enough for that size tank.

oh and def clean it off first.lol

I didn't even get that, so yes, it's much better! All I got was a page with the diagram - it didn't even have the parts labeled! I basically went to the picture on Aquacave and assembled the thing by the way it looked in the picture - trial and error!
