    Wow!
So what do you plan to feed it from now on?
I've always seen them in species tanks, probably for that reason.
    It sure is cool.

very cool awesome to finally have another octopus owner on here, feed him raw gulf shrimp, its pretty cheap and will keep him nice and healthy, from time to time toss some veggies in there, if you havent already, get an appropriate air pump for him seeing as they require near oxygen saturation, this also helps to keep them in the tank

How would you go about handling the situation if the octopus were to expell ink? A 90% water change? I am just curious because i have heard of people keeping them and have always wondered this.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the Octopus has a relatively short lifespan, which sometimes surprises people and they end up thinking that they did something wrong when an octo dies in their care. Depending on the species, octos live between 6 months and 3 years give or take. The Giant Pacific Octopus (the species I got to help care for during that fine summer) lives between 3-5 years. They make up for this short life by laying like 100,000 eggs at a time. I can't quite remember the number...all I remember is that it was huge.

as long as u have a skimmer and good water flow nothing to worry about. carbon also helps. he inks from time to time and then an hour or so later u see it in the skimmer cup, clean the cup and ur ready to roll
