    I had Ursula for 9 months, it was heartbreaking watching her decline.

    Think of keeping octopus liking keeping a cat or a dog. You simply can not just put them in a tank and treat them like a fish. They need daily interaction and items to play with.

    Highly intelligent and can get out of tank in heart beat.

    She was a California two-spot octopus, very common in the bays off S. Ca coast and tide pools.

    Octopi require a huge commitment, but wonderful and engaging pets if you're up to it.

    I had a mimic octopus when I had my 400 gal fowlr system very neat and highly intelligent. I am convinced mine knew who I was when I sold my tank a good friend of mine bought it and the octopus wouldn't eat for nearly a week went over to check on him and he came up to the glass seen me got very active and I put my arm in the tank he wrapped his arms around mine and ate for me. I had to keep going over to get him to eat until he got used to his new family .
