Octopuss Hang On Back Skimmer

some tap conditioners contain aloe vera which when put under a skimmer will make it over foam and over flow - just in my experience

oh boy.. mine contains aloe vera.. Im in the process of looking up instructions on how to put this thing together ( assembling it right now) and getting it working. Didnt come with a instruction manual

 

Mine has Aloe Vera in it also. I had my collection cup up higher and higher. It just kept filling up with Green tea water. The higher I went and it still filled up with water. It did not start until I used the water conditioner now that I think about it. The cup was up high when it lost all those gallons overnight. I almost died when I came down the stairs. If I take some water out and do a 20% change does anyone think I can plug it back in and see what happens?

 

Time may help here as it is... if you are going to be around for the day, you can plug it back in and see what happens. If it still goes crazy, then do the water change you planned without aloe conditioner and see what that does.
