    Ok anyone use one yet...

I have one on the way...

should be a few days ,if my overflow and everything else arrives on time..

Had a delema on Sunday and lets say I am replacing my 50gal with a60gal and my skimmer and my ballast and my hang on backfudge maker.....

Like they say $hit happens and then some.....

Once i get thing rolling ,,say like This weekend ill be shure to post how this Skimmer does if no one has one up and going..

I havnt seen anything on these new ones and like the Footprint for a 100gallon capable skimmer... just right for a 15-20 gallon fudgesump;D

Come to think this tank has only seen a HOBfuge.. Thats why my Center brace Broke ...I was lucky it only started seeping outa one corner and was able to Silocone the Rim and edge untill my parts come in...

So ive been up all night the last three days stressing and researching parts ...

Ill let ya know soon what i think of this new NWB series ...Ive seen the IN's but wanted another Octo since its been a 6years since i had one lol.

Bubble-lifts are supposed to be nice. Someone on 3reef has one and posted pics if you look around a bit. Can't wait to see yours in action!

The Skimmer arrived today will post pics in few...Its gonna be a fun weekend ,,cant wait untill the weekend...

This is a nice Big little skimmer....I can easily see how it handes a 100gallon tank lol.....

In my post i put bubble lift,, not shure if thats correct,,, its a Bubble Plate.. A massive bubble plate on the New ones.......

Well ,, it fits with a little room to spare lol.......

I made some supports outa PVC to get to the level i wanted and to aloww water to circulate under it.. The Way i made the sump water is forced to spin around the Skimmer Sump to let the dirty stuff get sucked up..

The return of the skimmer Mixes with the Inlet of the Fuge portion to give any stray bubble time to pop before the Bubble trap at other end..

Its big and tight fitting ...But still has some wiggle room ,,with out hitting any glass..

    Size comparison,,
This is the Samllest of this Model and its Huge,, makes a soda Czn look like nothing.

Matter of fact the can pretty much fit inside the Cup.

Intake area looks tigh but has lots of room since it recircs alot in this sump chamber,
    [IMG]

Heres the outlet...If you look close (the inlet from Tank enters on the lower right for the fuge ,So both Skimmed and unskimmed will flow here..It will also help slow down the intake inlet to this area with turbulance..

Backside to show all the room under the Skimmer..See the T's i used as Supports..Epoxied to the base and then silocone was let dry on the ends ..No vibrating what so ever..You dont silocone to bottom of fuge ,, you just put a thin layer on PVC and let dry befor you place it in the sump/fuge. Beats Egg Crate i think..

Ok thats it for now ,,
This weekend i should be able to test its skimming power by Sunday...I dont want to go to fast but then again im replacing The whole reef and need to get everything moved safely and working the forst time around.

I got the 150 model for my 90 about couple months ago. As this was my first skimmer ever not really sure what I was to expect. I notice that this picks up alot of stuff fast. The bubbles makes you think its working better and faster. I think it does a great job of filling the up the cup with skim. To conserve space in my sump/refugium, i had to turn the other way around and had to cut off a little of the base. Its fits better now and its takes up less space without being less efficient. Hope that helps..
