These have alway been one of my favs and I sort of impulsed him for y 55. Only other fish i have is a yellow tail, but due to the bad rap i was a little worried. I saw him for about 30 seconds and he was gone until a couple of minutes ago. He is hunting at night, probably for pods, but nevercomes out for feeding. I've never heard of them being nocturnal, anyone else?

They can be quite shy, so he's probably just adjusting to his new surroundings.

I don't think that they eat sps corals. I believe that they nip at them to clear an area on which to lay their eggs. I could be completely wrong though :)

I don't doubt that they can cause a coral to die but I'm not so sure that they kill them on purpose or eat them ;) That being said, I wouldn't want to test that theory in my tank

clown gobies host acros and other SPS corals.. they don't eat them as far as I know.

My yellow clown goby perches in my very healthy pink birdsnest all the time, I've never seen him once look like he was attempting to eat any corals.. he does eat the frozen food that I feed. He is probably one of the most personable fish in my tank, will come up to the glass to see what I'm doing when I'm working on the tank, when most of the other fish will run and hide... he's no bigger than my thumbnail.
