odd shaped tank-best lighting?

    my bud has a 92 gal corner bowfront w/ built in overflow. we built it into a wall and the whole top is open w/ 3' of clearance and no glass cover. my question is he plans on doin a reef tank, and with its odd shape, what woud be the best lighting for this type of application? t5 halides....open to all comments!

    well you could try t5's in a triangle-ish formation
    I think the best though would be some MH with some actinics around the MH
    will he be building a hood or will he be hanging it or what?

    im thinkin more of a hangin deal dont think the lip is there on tank...but anything is possible...pendants, t5's just tryin to put him in rite direction a combo of both would be nice. i know others have this tank just want to know what lites they r runnin

    Im usually all for t5's but for this application metal halide pendents are prob the best bet...

    Without sounding redundant, I will join the group and say pendants... Most of your bow/corner tanks do best with pendants, unless you do some size staggering with the T5s... But that isn't really worth it....

    I would recommend some 250's and a couple supplemental T5s, maybe a couple Blue+ or a blue+ and True actinic.

    I agree Also MH Pendants.. with t5 .. Pending depth of tank will determine wattage of Mh..
