Watching the tank this morning with my 2 year old son.. and I notice a few odd things happening. My maroon clown who always stays up in the corner has been coming down in the middle of the tank lately. Even eating from rocks. This started ever since I added a small sebae. So today she starts fluttering and flashing next to the sebae like she is submitting. She keeps doing it when she is close. He comes over grabs her and they spin in circles. Short of the story is, can clowns cross-breed?

Next on the agenda.... right after the clowns love fest.. I notice my goby (orange spotted watchman) laying on his side.. with a peppermint shrimp edging closer.. the goby lays completely over as the shrimp cleans him.. then they go on about their business.. i have seen this happen once before with the two but not as in depth.

When you say sebae you mean you added an anemone? What other clowns do you have in the tank?

No sebae clown... right now I only have the maroon clown and the sebae clown.
I am waiting for another sebae from the LFS and a sebae nem as well.

Side note.. I am a guitarman myself! :)

I believe they may be able to cross breed. even if they don't or can't, they sure seem to be trying!!
